Holidays in Dubai?

   Dubai Creek

For literally a few pennies you can spend an hour or so cruising up and down the Dubai creek on your own Abra with a skipper who is happy to change his hum-drum ferry tripping to and fro across Dubai creek for a leisurely cruise where he can almost put his feet up! The only thing you won't get from your private skipper is a potted history and some information about the modern hotels and office complexes. You can spend a few pounds and get all of that on a tourist Dubai creek dhow trip.

Take an Abra from either bank and the skipper will take you upstream passing the built up areas from the gold and spice souks, passing hotels and office tower blocks. See moored working Arab dhows and vessels underway plying their trade, other working Abras full of commuters and shoppers.

Pass some of the signature buildings of Dubai creek, like the Rolex Twin Towers and return after turning opposite the Dubai Creek Sheraton Hotel, along the promenade by parkland and Government buildings, executive visitor moorings, hire boat companies and mosques.

A pleasantly refreshing 'cruise' where you can get the wind in your hair and cool down even at the height of the noon day sun.
