The Sahn Eddar - The Reception of the House: Sahn Eddar, a perfect meeting area befitting the splendour of Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, is located at the base of the world's tallest atrium. Linger over traditional (English) Afternoon Tea, while watching the 32-metre water column leap skyward towards the peak of the atrium. Warm and welcoming tones, mosaic, marble flooring and wall torch lighting provide the perfect backdrop for afternoon tea guests.

We chose the Skyview Bar for our afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai: Situated on the top floor of Burj Al Arab, the Skyview Bar instantly matches expectations with unrivalled views of the Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach and The World islands. The Skyview Bar is an inviting area for you to experience a magnificent offering of (English) afternoon tea at your leisure.

The Afternoon Tea: Enjoy a fine selection of teas, coffees, sandwiches, pastries, cakes and scones served with a selection of delicious homemade jams and the mouth-watering Devonshire style clotted cream, the meal (and it is a meal!) is currently priced at AED 250 per person (Jan 2007). Your Burj Al Arab afternoon tea is served in 3 stages. The first stage consists of bite size savories with finger sandwiches, the second stage is of warm scones with jam and clotted cream, and third stage is a mouthwatering collection of mini cakes and pastries.

As an alternative to tea you can choose to enjoy the premium coffee selection; including coffees from 8 different countries, with single-blends such as Costa Rican, Brazilian and Columbian. The premium coffees are served on a purpose-made tray which also holds vanilla strips, cinnamon sticks and chocolate flakes in order for guests to be able to add different flavours to their coffee. To top it all, if you ask for a Premium cappuccino, you'll be surprised when it arrives sprinkled with edible 18-carat gold dust!

For that extra special Indulgent Afternoon Tea or for Honeymooners you can really spoil yourself with the Burj Al Arab Hotel Indulgent Afternoon Tea, which includes delicacies as well as an assortment of berries and whipped cream, and a glass of champagne, priced at AED 350 per person (Jan 2007).

These treats are available daily from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. Advance reservations are essential, nay mandatory, there are no casual or walk in places available ever! Best made from the UK well in advance for this popular experience.
